The pie charts compare the percentages of family earnings spent in various categories in between 2000 and 2020 in South Korea and Singapore.
Overall, income spending in housing, transport, and health care are significantly increasing in both countries, while income spent in food, and other categories experienced a fall in both countries as well, however other spending in South Korea shows a sharp fall compared to Singapore.
In 2000, Singapore had the biggest spending in housing with a percentage of 34% while South Korea had 21%. and they both increased in 2020 and Singapore with a larger percentage. Nevertheless South Korea spent more income on transport than Singapore in 2000 and 2020. South Korea spending on food slightly decreases from 2000 to 2020, while Singapore shows a fall of larger percentage. In 2020, South Korea spending on Health care increases significantly from 6% to 18%, while Singapore only shows a slight increase. Other spending is the biggest spending in South Korea, however it plunges from 29% to 7% become the least spending of South Korea in 2020.
