Overall, motor vehicles remained the primary mode of transportation followerd by buses in year 2004. With the advent of a nearby bus stop and implementation of car parking charges, a dramatic change is observed in 2009, making public transport more favourable than personal transport. Cylcing, walking and trains remained least popular in both years.
In 2004, about half (51%) of the people prefered using motorcars followed by public transport (36% , including buses and trains). Only few preffered bicyling (9%) and walking (4%). However, in 2009 due to new developments in accesibility, public transportation (bus,train) became the most popular (50%) with drastic decline in use of cars to about a half (28%). Similarly, the cyclists raised to about a double (16%). Walking commuters only showed a negligible raise (4%).
