The chart illustrates the most effective way of transporation while travelling to work or study in two years 2004 and 2009. Five transport are used namely car, bicycle, bus, train and walking in this statistics.
Overall, cars, buses and bicycles are the most popular modes of transport in both periods while the least popular way of travelling from one place to another is through walking and by train. In 2004 car was the most popular however, in 2009 bus became the most convenient tool for visiting to office and university.
Majority of people used car for commute in 2004 reaching 51%, the highest in that period of time, falling to 28% in 2009. Similarly, bus were used by almost 33% of population in 2004, rising slightly in 2009 reaching 46%, the highest modesof transport.
On the other hand, travelling from train and walking both has remained constant throughout the years with little increase in 2009 reaching peak of 4% and 6% respectively. Number of people using bicycle has also risen in 2009 to 16% from 9% in 2004.
