The pie charts illustrate the sex-disaggregated data on three different sectors in two countries.
Overall, it is readily apparent that services is the major sector in both surveyed countries, and much more workforce engage in this sector in country B than in country A. In addition, country A’s labor force focuses more on agriculture while country B is more industrialized.
Looking first at the figures for country A, services is the largest sector in the country, with 56% of the female employees working in the sector, slightly higher than the figure for their male counterparts, at 43%. A large amount of workforce also focused on agriculture, as 29% of female laborers work in this sector, much lower than the figure for male laborers, at 43%. The proportions of workers in the industry sector were the lowest, with only 15% of female workers, which doubles the data for men, at 8%.
Moving to the remaining figures, it can be seen that country B’s main sector is services, which comprises 65% of male workers and 88% of female workers. Furthermore, the country is more industrialized the country A, with approximately one third of male laborers working in the sector, and the figure for female workers at just 11%. In contrast, the data for male and female workers in agricultural jobs range from 1% to 3%, making the agriculture the smallest sector.
