The four pie charts illustrate the ratio of workers in three different sectors (manufacturing, sales, and service) at Town A and Town B, comparing the figures in 1960 and 2010. In general, both towns have most sales workers in 1960 and show major growth of manufacturing workers in 50 years.
Firstly, Town A shows generally similar percentage between three sectors in 1960 with sales workers accounted for the highest ratio of 41 percent. Those who work in manufacturing and services sector contributed to around 30% each. While majority of workers at Town B in 1960 also work in the sales sector (70% of the total), total of the other two sectors (manufacturing and service) accounted for merely 30% of the total.
Interestingly, manufacturing sector shows a major growth of ratio in 50 years. Interestingly, both Town A and Town B saw more than twice the ratio of manufacturing workers in 2010 compared to that of 1960. This makes majority of workers in Town A work in the manufacturing sectors in 2010, while manufacturing sector still dominates most of the residents in Town B.
