The pie chart illustrates the subjective qualities employees think are important while the bar chart gives information about the qualities employers look for.
Overall, most of the surveyed employees believed education was the the most important quality followed by experience and technical skills. Passion and enthusiasim and references were not commonly seen as important. In real life, employers mainly looked for organisation, communication skills, motivation, qualification, and flexibility.
Although the main quality in terms of importance according to the survey was education (49%) , employers only looked for it nearly half of the time. Despite the fact that job adverts did not mention experience and technical skills, one fourth of the employees believed in their effectiveness. Only 7 precent of the employees though passion was vital. More than 40 thousand job adverts contains passion as a quality emploers look for. This means that it is more common than what employees think.
In contrast to most people’s opinon, organisation and communication skills were the most important traits to employers. In fact, 100,000 job adverts mentioned organisation in comparison to around 60,000 communication skills. Motivation was as essential as communication skills for employers followed by qualification, flexibility and education which were mentioned around 60,000 times as well.
Other qualities such as commitment, trach record, and innovation were also effective, albeit slightly. They were metioned nearly 50,000 times in job adverts.
