The three pie charts compares the activities Australian students pursued immediately after completing secondary education in 1980, 1990 and 2000.

Overall, unemployed and employed witness an upward trend, while further education decreased. Additionally, the hightest figure was seen in employed.

In term of employed, reaching the employment rate in 1980, the people accounted for 40 percent of the total. After that, in increased in turn 10 percent in 1990, 15 percent in 2000 and was seen a significant figure. Just over half of the students were employed in Australia in 2000, it was the highest figure ever recorded on the chart.
