The given line chart illustrates the parcel deliveries made by two most competitive mail service companies between 1920 to 2000.
Overall, it can be observed that the two companies had a neck to neck competition with growth in both businesses over the years.
In the first year,1920, TNT mail services made 5000 drop-offs which gradually grew to over 10,000 parcel deliveries in 1960. After that , the business was stable at 11,000 transports until in 1980, after which it rocketed to reach about 23,000 orders and further went up to almost 25,000 consignments in 2000.
On the other hand, FedEx began with 15,000 deliveries in 1920, which further rose to almost 25,000 handovers in 1940 , after which there was a steep decline to around 12,000 packages that were transported. Following this, there was a moderate rise which went up to 17,000 drop-offs in 1990 but dropped below TNT’s deliveries in the same year, and further dipped slightly to 16,000 handovers in 2000.
