The diagrams illustrates information about transport and car use in Edmonton. Overall, cars make the biggest part of the digram with LTR folowing it. Concurently, buses and taxi have the smallest percentage, making them the least used.
The first diagram shows that 45% of people in Edmonton use cars. Moreover, 35% of citizens prefer public transport such as LRT. While the least used transport are buses and taxi, which have the same proportion of 10% each.
The second diagram provides people’s reasons for using car in city. The most popular one is commute to work, 55% of people consider it to be the most important. Then, business and taking children to school follow the list, with 45% and 40%. Lastly, the least dominant reasons are shopping and leisure activities, taking up 15% each.
In conclusion, both diagrams showed transport preferences among the citizens of Edmonton. Cars apeared to be the most used for as commute to work or for business reasons.
