The given diagram illustrates how carbonated drinks are made.
Looking from an overall perspective, there are five main stages, beginning with water purification and finishing with packaging and delivering drinks to supermarkets.
The process of producing carbonated drinks starts by water purification. Firstly, raw water from different sources is filtered to remove impurities. This filtered water then goes through a softening machine where chemicals are added to clean it. At the following step, the purified water is pumped into a electric heaters to evaporate water. Before the water is carbonated and carbon dioxide is introduced to make a liquid fizzy, the water is passed a cooling pipe into a carbonation chamber.
After flowing through a pipe, the carbonated water is put into a mixing tank to blend with a lot of ingredients, including flavouring, syrup, and coloring. The mixture is subsequently undergone a filtration again to ensure that it doesn’t have any particles left. Then, the drinks are packed in bottles or cans. Finally, the filled bottles and cans with carbonated water drinks are boxed and distributed to supermarkets, ready sold for potential customers.
