The floor plan illustrates a library before and after a renovation.
One of the most significant changes are that of the differences in the room sizes, and the overall area of the library. While the floor plan from ‘Before’ shows a library with 2 small rooms, and 2 large rooms — the ‘After’ image depicts the rooms of the libraries to have been proportioned smaller. The image of the library from after the renovation, shows that the area of the library has increased, while the numbers of the rooms has also increased.
Moreover, another factor of the library to have faced changes are the usage of different rooms for different purposes. In the ‘Before’ images, the Children’s Room was a space of it’s own. However, while analysing the images for ‘After,’ the Children’s Room has been divided into 3 smaller spaces while increasing in mass, with each spaces serving different purposes. Additionally, the structure of the “Reading Area” has significantly changed. Besides the Front Desk being moved closer to the Front Door, the furiture placement of the Reading Area has concurrently shifted.
