The diagram depicts the before and after significant changes were made in Taftsville Public Library. Overall, it can be seen that the library was expanded and some new areas were introduced to the library.
Before the renovation, the library had four separate areas. The desk and reference areas were in the medium sized room, located directly in the middle of the library from the front door. There were two rooms consisting of the adult non-fiction and adult fiction sections on the left side of the library. Meanwhile, on the opposite side was another medium sized room dedicated for children.
After the renovations, while the other areas saw significant changes, the adult non-fiction and fiction sections remained the same. On the other hand, the desk area was moved near the front door of the library, and the reference area behind the desk previously has been changed to a reading area. On the right side of the desk and reading area, the children’s room was converted into two small rooms (magazines and reference room). Meanwhile, the children’s room was moved to a new room behind the magazines room, and a garden area was added to the left side of the children’s room.
