The diagram presents information on the process of purifying contaminated water.
Overall, the procedure is apparently straightforward because there is no advanced equipment and intensive labour required. It consists of three main stages, firstly, the dirty water provision, then, the handling system, and eventually the pure water transportation, with the assistance of only two storage drums.
The process initiates with filling untreated water into one storage drum, whose 40% above utilized to contain water. The remaining 60% of the container is constituted of three layers, which are respectively composed of sand, charcoal, and gravel, dedicated to the task of treating water once it penetrates through.
After that, the resulting liquid will be channelled through a slim pipe connected with another storage drum, which is located slightly lower than the aforementioned and fully used to accommodate clean water. At the bottom of this drum, there is a faucet to facilitate the water supply, thus generating water for human activity.
