The diagrams illustrate the changes made to a small local museum and its surrounding area between 1957 and 2007. Overall, the museum underwent significant expansion, and the surrounding garden area was significantly reduced.
In 1957, the museum was surrounded by a large garden with several trees, including those lining the road. However, by 2007, most of the trees had been removed, leaving only two trees in the garden. The pathway leading from the road to the entrance hall, which was originally centrally located, was removed, and the entrance was relocated to the left side of the museum.
Inside the museum, the most significant changes occurred in the layout and the addition of new facilities. In 1957, the museum’s largest room was the national history exhibition, occupying nearly half the museum’s width. The local history room was on the left, and the museum store-room was on the right of the entrance hall. By 2007, the museum had been expanded. The museum store-room was replaced by a museum shop, and the entrance now led directly to it. A reception area was added, and a café was built in the right corner. The local history room was moved to the center, with a special exhibitions area to its northwest and an education center adjacent to it.
