The given process illustrates the steps of producing ethanol from an environmentally-friendly source, which is called biofuel.
Overall, it can be seen that, there are 7 steps, which a biofuel as a feedstock can be processed, and eventually converted to ethanol as the product.
First, a biofuel, as the feedstock of ethanol production process, is produced by harvesting the trees and plants, which grow under the sunlight by consuming an amount of carbon dioxide. Then, the harvested flora, is pre-processed for production of a substance, called Cellulose. This material is the main feed of Sugars plants, where by processing it sugars is generated.
After producing sugars, which is an intermediate substance during the ethanol chain, ethanol as the next and final product, is produced by adding some microbes to sugars. Thus, ethanol can be used as an engine fuel for both public and private transportations, such as airplanes and private cars, respectively. Carbon dioxide as the required gas for trees growth is then released to the atmosphere and the cycle of ethanol production can be started again.
