In the diagram we can observe all the phases of flour production. All starts from the raw material, wheat, then it passes into some physical and chemical phases. At the end, after being packed and delivered, it arrives in supermarkets.
Going more in depth, we can divide the process in 3 main passages: physical, chemical and delivery.
In the first passage, the physical one, the wheat was firstly sifted, then cleaned with air, and lastly grinded; this allows the workers to proceed with chemical phasis. Here some chemicals and vitamins are added to the compound, permitting the latter to not rot. At the end of the production we find the delivering phase: the flour is firstly packed, then carried on trucks and at the end it arrives into supermarkets.
Flour is one of the most used crops in the world, so the supply chain has to be as efficient as possible to be able to reach all the world. Moreover, the process has to be ecologically sustainable, maybe using electric trucks and recycled paper packaging.
