The diagram demonstrates the process of manufacturing leather goods.
Overall, the process is divided into seven distinct stages, beginning with the drying of animal skin and ending with the finished leather products.
In the first stage, the animal’s skin will be dried and sent to the factory. At the factory, the dried skin pieces will be washed with a solution consisting of water and lemon. After that, the skin continued to be soaked in lemon. In the next step, the leather is put into a machine to flatten. If before the flattening step, the skins are soaked with lemon, then afterwards, they are soaked in a mixture called tannin, a mixture of water and vegetable matter.
Going through all the stages related to cleaning, now moving on to the second stage. After being soaked in tannin, the leather pieces will be polished with hand rollers. On more time, they are transported to another factory to prepare for product finishing. At this second factory, leather products were born, serving people’s lives such as handbags, shoes or balls.
