The diagram depicts the various steps in the production of recycled paper, commencing with the processing of used paper to manufacturing it into rolls of recycled paper.
Overall, it is evident that there are four main stages in the manufacturing of recycled paper: making pulp using automated machines, filtering with water, cleaning using chemicals and finally making paper rolls using a continuously moving process.
Initially, the used paper was delivered to automated machines which is moved along a continuous conveyor belt. Once reaching the end of the conveyor belt, it was put into a processing machine, where it was mixed with a mixture of water and chemicals to form pulp.
After that, the mixture of pulp, water and soap was poured into a tray where air was passed over, before travelling down a tube to a container which consists of water and chemicals. Lastly, rolls of paper are made by passing through several pairs of rollers on a conveyor belt, with the addition of water.
