The schema illustrates process of separating the salt and impurities from sea water to make purified water for people.
Overall, it consist of seven steps, starting with intaking saltwater from sea into the system and ending with obtaining purified drinking water.
The process started with the saltwater is taken, then it drives into the pre-treatment filter. Filter backwash is returned to the sea by piples. After that, water forced through membrane at high pressure and water molecules passed through. Then impurities and salt stayed out and this is called seawater concentrate. The seawater concantrate is went back to the sea like filter backwash.
Following that, post treatment is started and is added lime, chlorine and fluoride. Subsequently, the filtered water is passed to the storage where it will be stayed. End of the process the filtered water is distributed to integrated water supply system for people to use as drinking water.
