The chart illustrates the process of removing salt from sea water and making it drinkable. Overall, the process consisting of five major stages : filtering, separating, treatmenting, storaging and integrating.
First of all, sea water is allowed into the pretreatment filter through the pipes. After that, it is forced through the membrane at high pressure, then water molecules are separated from impurities and salt. The next step is post treatmenting with lime, chlorine and fluoride. Subsequently, it is went to the storage, after which drinkable water went to the integrated water supply system.
Meanwhile, water that could not pass through the pretreatment filter is returned to the sea through the backwash filter. Likewise, seawater concentrate which is released from the membrane is returned to the sea. The cycle then repeats itself and helps to support the natural processes.
