Diagram illustrating the process of separating salt and impurities from seawater to make it drinkable.
In general, the desalination process involves many complex multi-stages to produce the final product include pre-treatment filter, high pressure membrane, post-treatment with clime, chloride and flouride.
The process begins with taking salt water from the sea. They are fed into the pre-treatment filter to effectively filter out residue. They through into high pressure filter membrane to remove microscopic impurities and salt from water. The concentrated sea water returns to the sea while the finished product of high pressure filtration process continues to be sent to the next step.
Post-treatment is initiated with lime, chlorine and flouride for reduction. The filtered water is then transferred to the storage facility and will be kept there. At the end of the process, the filtered product, clean water, is distributed to the integrated water supply system for people to use as dringking water.
