The diagram depicts the process of making potable water by extracting salt from sea water.
Overall, it is clear that the sequence of making drinkable water comprises five principle stages, beginning with seawater flow to the pretreatment filter and ending with the distribution to the water supply.
The first stage involves the intake of saltwater from the sea. Following that, it flows through a pretreatment filter. When the water has been correctly treated, it is forced to membrane at high pressure. While impurities and concentration of sea water goes again to the sea, the remaining part flows to the next levels
At the fourth step, the water is passed through post treatment, where it is mixed with lime, chlorine, and fluoride, for additional treatment. In the stage that follows the treated water is passed through the storage before being delivered to the integrated water supply system, making it ready for consumption.
