The process diagram illustrates how sugar is produced from sugar beets.
Overall, it is a 9 stage,man-made, linear process. The process begins with beets is transterred to produce sugar beets and the process ends with sugar is rotated in centrifuge to crystallize sugar.
Initially, beets are being loaded onto a truck. Next. the beets are roughly chopped and dirt and rocks are removed. Afterwards, they are placed into an industrial washing machine, where they are thoroughly washed. In the next step, the washed beets are cut into cossettes, which are subsequently soaked with hot water to produce sugar juice. Milh of lime is added to the sugar juice in order to remove it, after the mixture isfiltered to produce pure, clean sugar juice. Following this, the sugar juice is heated so that excess water is removed. In the final stage of the process, the sugar is spun in a centrifuge, where it crystallises. In this way, sugar is produced from sugar beets
