The picture details the steps involved in recycling organic waste for fertilizer production. Overall, the process can be divided into 5 steps in total, beginning with preparing a hollow plastic container and ending with producing compost for gardening purposes.
At the first stage of the process, gardeners will use a plastic container with a volume of 2 cubic meters. After being pierced to make vents on container sides, the air flow is free. Then, the waste is shredded and placed inside the compost bin. Subsequently, the layer of waste is put in order from food scraps at the bottom, grass clipping in the middle, and the top newspaper pieces. Each layer requires 15cm thickness.
At the following stage, two substances (nitrogen and water) are added for decomposition. In this step, only hot water is used because of the heat which helps break down the organic matter. Next, while the top is sealed, the heat produced from the reaction escapes by vents on the container. Finally, after 6 months the waste turns into fertilizer and is ready to use for gardening.
