The diagram illustrates information about one method used in the production of ceramic pots.
Overall, the process is linear and consists of several stages, beginning with the collection of raw materials and ending with firing and coloring the pots to make them ready for use.
In the first stage, raw materials such as clay are excavated from the ground using machinery and then transported by truck to a factory. At the processing plant, these materials are crushed into smaller fragments before being transferred to a mixing tank, where water is added to form a clay mixture. This mixture is subsequently pumped into moulds, which are used to shape the clay into pots.
Next, the moulded items are to dry for a 4-6 hours. After drying, the clay pots are assembled and then placed into the oven, where they are fired at a temperature of around 1,000 degrees Celsius. Once this initial firing is completed, the pots are dipped into the coloring liquid. They are then fired again in a colour-firing oven, allowing the colour to set permanently. At the final stage, the finished ceramic pots are produced and ready for distribution.
