Looking into more detail, 20 years ago, the library had tables and chairs after entering, but today there is no furniture at all; it is full of open space. Upon entering the library today, we can see a cafe on the right side, whereas it used to house an enquiry desk (for tickets, book returns, etc.). On the left side, the area that previously functioned as a reading room is now a computer room.
The central library had children’s books 20 years ago, but now that space has been transformed into a lecture room. The library now features adult fiction books, an information desk, and self-service machines, which were not present in the past library except for adult fiction books. In addition, 20 years ago, the library had computer games, videos, and CDs, but now that area hosts storytelling events and children’s fiction books.
