The diagram illustrates the life span of Monarch butterfly. This process is divided into 4 stages egg stage, larval stage, pupal stage, and adult stage.
Overall, it is evident that cycle starts with Egg stage in which butterflies matting and egg laying and this eggs are layed on milkweed with passage of time after 14 days the newly hatched larva becomes. Afterthat, caterpillar is formed on mikweed.
In second Larval stage, attachment of larva with the milkweed occurs, and in 10 days chrysalis is completely joined to the milkweed. Furthermore, in Pupal stage, the time of emergence in adults came and one butterfly migrate towards the south. Additionally, after 6 months, in Adult stage, second butterfly further move towards north and again start the biological clock.
In conclusion, every step has its crucial role in life cycle and each stage consists of 2 more steps starts with matting & egg laying and ends with migrating towards each other.
