The diagram illustrates how sugar is produced. Overall, there are seven steps in the process, starting with nourishing sugar canes and ending with making sugar for the utilization of humankind.
The first four steps involve the collection and purification of the sugar canes. The process commences with canes being grown over the period of 12-18 months before being harvested through mechanical and manual methods, which then leads to a crushing process. In this stage, machinery is used to grind those sugar canes into bagasse and juice, at which point its by-product is used as fertilizer in order to grow trees. Following this, the sugar-making process continues with the purification of those juices through a limestone filter, in the fourth stage.
The remaining steps incorporate the evaporation of juice under the heat for making syrup. Subsequently, crystals are split from those syrups under the force of a centrifugal machine. The process concludes with the sugar being dried and cooled in a container for consumption.
