The diagram illustrates the manufacturing process for making sugar from sugar cane. Moreover, it reveals all the machines that are included in the process. In general, there are seven stages of manufacturing before the final product is ready for consumption.
The first step is that sugar canes are planted by farmers, and as twelve to eighteen months pass, canes are ready to be harvested manually or using specialized machinery. Thereafter, the grown sugar canes are crushed into juice, which needs to be purified through limestone filter in the following stage.
Once the juice has been purified, it is then put in a special container called evaporator, which is heated so the moisture in the juice is evaporated, leaving behind a syrup-like consistency. The last stage is that sugar crystals are separated from syrup by centrifuge. At this point, the finished sugar should be dried and cooled until it is ready for consumption.
