The picture diagram illustrates information about the painted lady butterfly life cycle.
Overall, it can be said that there are total four stages of lady butterfly life cycle, which starts with eggs and ends with adult butterfly.
The first stage is laying eggs in which an adult butterfly lays egg that are size of pin head then after some days in the second stage eggs are turn into larva that is also called caterpillar with black/purple and yellow-green strips on it. This larva eats fresh leaves and grow with the passage of time and forms shell around their body.
After that the third stage is the formation of pupa also known as chrysalis with reddish brown shell. It is evident from the picture that in the fourth or last stage pupa emerges and then transformed into an adult butterfly with very large and beautiful colorful wings. From the picture we can see that it is a continuous process.
