The plans illustrate the layout of a library in 2001 and how it changed in 2009. Overall, it is clear that the most notable change includes the convention from newspapers and periodicals into films and DVDs for digital relaxation. Furthermore, there were new computer zones equipped for internet access.
In 2001, there was an entrance allowing people access to the library remained unchanged by 2009. A librarian’s desk, which was opposite the entrance to welcome visitors and offer help, had no development over the next 8 years. Stairs were located in the right corner of the library after going through the entrance. However, the other areas of the library saw significant development. In 2001, two separate facilities including self-help and history occupied along the length of the library before they were transferred into the smaller ones, aiming to build additional facilities such as fiction, kitchen, economics, and law. The old fiction shelf was expanded and redeveloped into a children’s books section
In addition, the central of the library originally comprised of 8 square Table zones, and then they were integrated into 4 rectangle Table zones by 2009. The facility next to the Tables called Newspaper and Periodicals was replaced by the Films and DVDs facility. New computer zones were constructed for internet service.
