The two maps illustrate the current layout and future plans for the development of a university’s biomedical campus.
Overall, site is going to witness significant changes, shifting from largely open land to more insensively built area. The key changes include the expansion of amenities, road construction, and the cut down in forests.
According to the map, at present, there is a forest sitting next to a car park on the north side of the ground, oppositing the road initially run straight from the north before turning to the south of the this site. In the south, a walkaway is situated at the centre from the north to the south. In the right hand side it, there is the genetics in the north and the biotech is located in the futher south, which is opposite the lab to the east. In the left hand side of the walkaway is the biochemistry. The lab is nearby forests in the west of the side
In the future, the road to the south will be destroyed, and the main road will be extended to the southern area, building a triangualr staff car par in the middle while a new road from the west to the east, linking with the walkway. The biotech will double in size and another genetics, bio-imaging will be built in the cutting down forest. The biochemistry is going to recreate into a V- shape building.
