The map illustrates the changes between the current layout and the proposed development plan.
Overall, the campus will significantly redevelop from the present to the future; some areas will be repurposed for new facilities, while some amenities will be added.
There are some changes in the northern part of the campus. On the left side, the road will be straightened out. Some trees will be removed to add a genetics 1 building and a bioimaging facility. Remarkably, the car park will remain unchanged over the period shown.
The relocation and modernization of some facilities will be witnessed in the middle and at the bottom of the campus. The biotech building will be expanded from a rectangular to an H-shaped structure. Meanwhile, the old genetics room will be extended to a bigger area and renamed genetics 2. Noticeably, the two old labs will remain constant throughout the period examined. The central walkway in the middle will also remain in the same location but be widened. The biochemistry building will be changed from a rectangular to a V-shape, having a larger area. The trees at the bottom left corner will be removed to add some new roads and a staff car park.
