The diagram illustrates the recycling method of plastic bottles to form useful products.
The process consists of nine steps, beginning with the collection and ending with the production. These steps can be classified into 3 main stages. Starting with the collection and sorting, followed by the mechanical and thermal process to make the raw material and ending with the products.
To begin with the plastic bottles are collected from dustbins and later shifted into a vehicle. This is then transported into a recycling centre, where it is first sorted out. After sorting, it is then compressed into blocks. Following that this block is crushed using a crushing machine.
These crushed items are then washed, which is afterwards shifted to a machine, producing plastic pellets. These pellets are again heated to form raw materials. These raw materials are then used for making products. Products like t shirt, pencils, containers, bottles and bags are the end products.
