The diagram shows the process of growing and producing three different types of pineapple products.
Overall, it can be seen that pineapples need certain conditions to grow and that an average pineapple takes around one year to grow. Furthermore, it can be seen that pineapples are around 30cm high and weight around 2kg. Moreover, the diagram shows that three different types of products can be produced out of pineapple, such as juice, canned fruits or the selling of the whole fruit to consumers.
Pineapples need temperatures around 23 to 30 degrees to grow. When they are planted, farmers have to make sure that there is around 26cm of space between each fruit. After 7 months, ethaline is sprayed on the fruit and after 5 months more, the fruit is ripe and can be harvest.
Pineapple juice is produced by cutting the pineapple into pieces and by putting the pieces into an extractor. The extracted juice is then packaged to be sold to consumers.
Secondly, canned pineapple fruits are produced similarly, with the first step of cutting the pineapple. The difference is, that the pineapple is cut into slices and not into pieces. The slices are then canned and sold in supermarkets and other shops. Thirdly, full pineapple fruits are sold by applying wax on the outside of the fruit and by packaging the fruits on palets. The fruits are then exported to countries to be sold.
