The process outlines the steps required to produce olive oil.
Overall, the entire manufacturing procedure comprises eight steps, starting with the collection of olives and ending with the final products ready for consumption.
The first stage begins with the olives being collected manually by farmers using a rake to harvest them from the trees. These fresh olives are then stored in a large vat for two to three days before being treated in the next phases. Following this, the stored olives are placed on a conveyor chain and washed under cool water to remove any remaining residues. In the next step, three hammers apply force that crush them into either olive stones that go into a container or olive paste for further treatment.
The previous olive paste is transported in a pipe, connecting the crushing machine to a pressing machinery system. This stage includes a process of applying hydraulic pressure and filtering the olive paste that transforms them into oil. Additionally, the produced oil is spun in a centrifuge while wastewater is excluded from the mixture to produce clean olive oil. There are bottles of pure olive oil, which are ready to be transported to stores and consumed by their customers.
