Overall, there are eight steps of the process, which starts with olives being harvested and ends with products being distributed to stores.
Firstly, olives are collected manually with a rake when they are ripe. Afterwards, the harvested olives are stored in a vat, which lasts from two to three days. The olives are delivered by a conveyor belt in order to be cleaned with cool water from unwanted parts. Subsequently, the olives are transformed into a machine where they are crushed by hammers. The olive stones are released into a container, whereas the olive paste is channeled through a pipe into a hydraulic press.
The process continues with the olive paste being pressed and filtered again. The liquid is pumped into a centrifuge so that it is spinned and sorted out into water and olive oil. Following this, water is emitted while the oil is packed into bottles. The final step is that trucks deliver the products to shops for sale.
