The diagram given illustrates how to make olive oil. In general, this flow chart provides an overview of 8 steps, beginning with picking olives from the farmer, and then crushed into the olive paste before being delivered to the store.
To begin with, the olives are harvested in the field with the rakes’ a farmer
in order to shake them off and store them in a vat. After 2 to 3 days, not only are the collected olives put on the conveyor belt, but they are also cleaned under cool water, getting rid of some remains such as: stems, leaves and soil. Therefore, only olive fruits are taken to the crusher, on which the hammer changes them into the paste and some olive stones are separated to keep in a different container.
Secondly, the olive paste is passed through a pipe which leads to the mechanical facility. In this process, the hydraulic press takes the oil out and is fully filtered to remove any impurities. Subsequently, this filtered oil is still passed through another pipe to a centrifuge which spins them at a high enough speed to purify water. Afterwards, the oil is packed into the bottles prior to being transported into a truck. Finally, this truck will distribute the olive oil to retail outlets
