The diagram illustrates the manufacturing process of olive oil.
In brief, the olive oil production is a linear process consisting of 8 total stages, starting with the harvesting of olives and culminating in the transporting of the finished bottles.
The process commences with the collecting of olives by farmers using rakes. Then, the produce is store in a Vat for a maximum duration of 3 days. Before starting the oil extraction, these olives are washed with cool water on a conveyor belt to remove any remaining dirt. In the subsequent step, clean olives are hammered into a find paste, leaving behind a byproduct called olive stones which are stored in a seperate container.
The olive paste is transfered to a hydraulic press in a stage called “Pressing and filtering”. The hydraulic press crushed the olives to extract oil while impurities are filtered out. Next, the oil is transported to a centrifuge where it is spun spontaneously to remove any remaining water content. Before the products are ready to be shipped, the finished olive oil is bottled.
