The chart illustrates the recycling process of aluminium drinks cans.
Overall, there are 11 steps in this process. Starting with delivering aluminium waste to manufacturing new cans, taking a total of 6 weeks from start to finish.
Firstly, aluminium wastes such as drinks cans are collected and transported by truck to a recycling factory. Next, they are washed with water before being crushed into massive, box-shaped pile. After that, process continue in the factory, including the use of chemicals to erase coatings and contaminants.
On the next stage, the erased pile of aluminium is heated up so it could be easily poured into a mould for uniform size and shape products, which will be weighed to ensure they match in weight as well. Second-to-last step, the outputs of the 9th step are rolled into thin sheets of aluminium, which are used to produced new cans on the final step.
