Water cycles can be affected by many factors and the environment, as it if occurred in forested areas it will not be the same as if it happened in urban areas.
In the Given graph, it stats main features and differences between water cycle in Urban and forested area.
As any water cycle it always starts with the precipitation process and when the water hits the ground the process of the infiltration starts, but in urban areas the amount of water is decreased due to the difference in the ground material as it is not a natural soil so the water can not passes through it easily so large amount of water is wasted.
After the infiltration the baseflow of the water under the ground happens, the flow rate in urban is reduced due to the wasted water in the infiltration however, when the flow of the water reaches the surface again the the evaporation happens but with larger amounts in the forested areas as in results it affects also the transpiration process.
To conclude, Urban areas have significant effects on the water cycle as so many water is wasted due to the surface area and also polluted because of the urban environment.
