Overall, there are five main steps, which are eco-friendly, in the process, starting with cold water and ending with the generation of electric energy. It is interesting to note that some stages occur below ground level and some on the ground.
Turning to the details, we can see that initially, cold water pumped down 4.5km of the land, and there are some hot rocks in that zone, called Geothermal zone. Next, cold water turns into hot water because of hot rocks, and this stage occurs without human intervention. After that, hot water goes up and reach a condenser, which turns water into steam. In the subsequent step, a turbine rotates fast due to the steam power and powers a generator, which produces electricity. Finally, electricity is transmitted to powerlines for utilization purposes by using long electric lines.
