The diagram projects a process of how steel rods are fabricated in the furniture industry from the extraction of ores, refining and shaping. There are a total of 11 processes.
First of all, raw materials are extracted and brought into the melting slit to melt at the temperature of 1300-1500 degrees celsius. The melted materials are then transferred into a smelting cabin for refinement. This is to remove any impurities from the melted ore as raw ores may contain oxides or other elements. The smelted materials are moved to a pouring machine which cools the smelting materials into metal strands.
At the next stage of the process, the metal strands are placed into the rollers to be shaped into metal rods. The rods will then be brought into a heating machine to undergo a process called heat treatment. After the treatment, the metal rods will be measured to check the surface before being cut into different sizes. Finally, the metal rods will be stamped with its own ID and go through inspection.
In general, raw materials are converted into another form of material for industrial use through multiple processes and refinements.
