The given diagram illustrates the process of the formation of glass containers in eight different steps. The procedure involves different methods such as melting glass in a furnace, cooling it with air, shaping it using different molds, manual inspection, etc.
As the process begins, the glass in its raw form is heated in a furnace for some time at about 105 degrees Celsius. The hot glass, after being melted, is then transferred to mold 1, where it is pressed to form a certain shape. Subsequently, it is transferred to the second mold, and a thick wall container is formed in this step. Later on, the product of the second mold is left to cool down for some time, and the air shapes the container by cooling it. In the sixth step, the container is placed in a kiln to be heated again at 482 degrees Celsius for a period of time. This step is followed by cooling of the final product at 25 degrees for about an hour.
The final packaging of the glass containers preceeds the manual inspection by the workers, while the defective products are wasted right away.
