The diagram illustrates how to produce five different types of tea. Overall, this process consists of 4 main stages, starting from tea growth and ending with drying leaves in ovens. Besides, based on the kinds of tea, additional stages are required.
Firstly, leaves are grown in suitable conditions before being plucked and harvested by the producers. After that, leaves undergo withering process, after which wilted white tea can be dried in the oven – the final phrase before tea leaves can be used. If not, withered leaves will undergo extra treatment.
Next, oolong tea, green tea and large leaf black tea is rolled to acquire flat surface areas while small leaf black tea is crused into smaller pieces. After that, oolong tea undergoes slight fermentation and both large and small black tea leaves require full fermentation. Finally, five types of leaves will be placed in a drying oven before being delivered to different places for consumption.
