The process by which sugar is made in an effort to supply supermarkets and restaurants in a German company can be outlined in a number of consecutive steps. Overall, manufacturing sugar products consists of four main stages: the initial preparation of raw material – sugarcane – followed by the transportation to Germany, the actual sugar production and the last packaging along with distribution for commercial use. It is also noteworthy that this is a complex process, which the majority of this requires specialized machinery, even though the first harvesting phase needs human labour. Moreover, the whole process takes much time to complete.
The operation begins with the harvesting of sugarcane growing in tropical regions. Next, sugarcane is crushed to collect juice with the help of a crusher, prior to partial filtration to accumulate raw sugar. The subsequent stage goes through transportation to Germany for further processing.
Once arrived, raw sugar is purified thoroughly by melting and filtering processes, before being crystalized to form solid sugar particles. Having done crystallization, sugar crystals are dried using cooling fans so that any impurities can be removed. In the penultimate phase, large bags are used to pack sugar for delivering to supermarkets and restaurants in the final step.
