The diagram illustrates process of semi-processed fish pie production and its final result. Regarding the first diagram, a classic fish pie contains such simple ingredients as peas, fish, potato and it all is doused with sauce.
Overall, according to the second diagram, the whole production line has several stages that start separately because of time consuming preparations. Potatoes production starts up to one month before the other ingredients and requires only machinery manufacturing. Initially, after potatoes are delivered on the factory, they are cleaned by water, then peeled from the skin and sliced into pieces. Firstly those pieces undergo boiling, after which they cool down and are stored for the future consumption.
Conversely, making of fresh salmon takes 12 hours or less because of its perishability. Moreover, the process involves manual labor, too. After the delivery, stakes of salmon are seasoned with lemon juice, salt and fried in the steam oven. Next, factory workers remove unnecessary skins and bones, and inspector examines fish one more time. Subsequently, prepared sauce and peas are added to the meal. After this stage all the ingredients are wrapped by a packer in a microwaveable container and then those meals undergo the freezing. Finally, the fish pies are transported either to the food stores or to the destination of dispatch.
