The two plans show an industrial site as it is now and the new layout following its redevelopment. Overall, although the surrounding roads will remain unchanged, the central area will become more residential-friendly with the addition of bedroom houses, apartments and communal gardens.
The current industrial site houses a yard in the middle, between entrance and reception to the roar and the line of offices and canteen to the front. There are fewer facilities for residents with only a packing counter near the toe line and a storage in the left-hand corner, closer to the offices. There is only a factory on the east, and Chimney road, Pie walk, Swallow street and Toe lane bordered the area.
After its revolutions, the area will cater for a wider range of residential buildings. Although the roads surrounding the industrial site will still exist, factory will be demolished to make a room for parking area and apartments. All the offices and two-bedroom houses will be removed to make room for parking garages. To improve the security of residents, communal gardens surrounded by private roads came at the expense of the yard.
