Glass containers are made from three main raw materials and their production process divided into four different stages. Also, five distinct steps are required for recycling used glass containers.
According to firs diagram, sand, soda ash, limestone and some other chemicals are mixed together at the initial stage. Next, this mixture is heated in glass furnace at approximately 1500 C. after that, the molten glass is blown to get formed and turned into the end products: glass containers.
For recycling these glass containers, the first step is to collecting used glass. Then, these products is sorted in terms of their color ant at the next stage, is washed to all their impurities go out. Clean glass containers are crushed and melted and at the final step, molten glass is molded into new sustainable products.
