The diagram illustrates the changes the city has undergone from the period of 2000 to the current time.

Overall, there are vast number of building that have been established today to improve the convinience of the people living in the Nelson city.

It can be noticed that in the year of 2000, the city was a very tranquil and eco-friendly because it had abundunt of greenery and not many constructions . The city had only important landmarks such as a university, train station and a market so there weren’t many entertainment places for the people residing in the area.

On the other hand, it is visible that the city has developed today with numerous additional buildings. They have constructed many entertainment places such as restraunts, bars and clubs. A bike rental place has been introduced in the center of the city which would be convenient for the people to travel instead of taking the train. Additionally, the old market has been upgraded to be covered and it has been relocated to the easten side of the city. Along with these improvements, 2 other building, hall of residence and shop, can also be seen today.
